The Role
MSF Sugar is seeking a skilled and reliable Loader Operator to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis at our Tableland Mill, located approximately 25km west of Mareeba.
This is a key operational role within our site team, working on a rotating shift roster to support the safe and efficient handling of bagasse. You will operate mobile plant equipment to transport, stockpile, and reclaim biomass, contributing to the mill's co-generation and sustainable energy production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate mobile plant equipment, including loaders and trucks.
* Transport and stockpile bagasse in line with site requirements.
* Reclaim biomass for co-generation and energy production.
* Conduct pre-start checks and report defects or maintenance needs.
* Perform basic servicing and upkeep of mobile equipment.
* Manage surplus bagasse during peak crushing periods using 55m3 trucks.
* Profile and maintain stockpiles to required site standards.
* Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Have experience operating loaders and/or heavy mobile plant (highly regarded).
* Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
* Be physically capable of working in hot, demanding environments.
* Be comfortable standing for extended periods and working in vibrating conditions.
* Be willing to work shift work on a rotating roster during the crushing season.
* Have a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Additional tickets, licences, or relevant training will be highly regarded.
