Residential Service Assistant Position
Job Description
* We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Residential Service Assistant to join our team at Hunter New England Local Health District.
The successful candidate will assist the care team and domestic assistants with daily care routines, supporting residents during mealtimes and contributing to meal preparation, helping residents transfer safely to and from appointments, engaging with residents during community outings and group activities, and collaborating with allied health and nursing staff to support transitional aged care services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A Certificate or equivalent experience in aged care or a related field is required.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
* A reliable, responsible approach to work and genuine compassion and empathy for older individuals are necessary qualities for success in this position.
