Job DescriptionSalary: $65K+ DOEGENERAL SUMMARY:This is a work from home position with possible on-site work in the Portland Metro area.We are looking for a competent Service Desk Technician to provide fast and effective technical assistance on computer systems. You will answer queries on basic technical issues and offer advice to resolve them.An excellent Help Desk Technician must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand problems and explain solutions. They must also be customer-oriented and patient to deal with difficult customers.The goal is to create value for clients that will help preserve the company's reputation and business.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ability to work effectively from homeExperience working at and with MSPsIT support related to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systemsBasic technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and securityBasic remote access solution implementation and support: VPN, Terminal Services, Citrix, Office 365, Azure ADMaintain and review system documentation in ConnectWiseCommunicate with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of changes or outagesKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.Experience with cloud technologies: Office 365, Azure AD, AWS, Azure, Windows Virtual Desktops, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint OnlineExperience with legacy technologies: Windows, Windows Server, Veeam, SonicWALL, Fortigate, Office applicationsAdvanced understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systemsInterpersonal skills: telephony, communication, active listening, customer careAbility to multi-task and adapt quickly to changeSelf-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
