Job Description:
This is an advanced clinical practice registered nurse position that provides clinical support and nursing leadership. The Clinical Nurse Consultant will provide expert knowledge, skill, and abilities for clinical care and guide clinical practice across prison health centres to support patient-centred triage and pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide specialist clinical advice and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
* Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships at individual, agency, and inter-sectoral levels.
* Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of health support information programs and resources.
* Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to ensure professional clinical standards and quality of primary health care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Expert level of knowledge and clinical nursing skills in contemporary primary health care and correctional health clinical practice.
* Ability to provide specialist clinical advice and communication, consultation, liaison, and negotiation with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Proven leadership skills, including ability to initiate, develop, implement, and evaluate health support information programs and resources.
* Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and evaluate primary health clinical practices, tools, protocols, and guidelines.
* Registration or membership with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
