As a senior engineering leader, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the strategic planning and execution of multiple engineering and ICT projects within the Defence Engineering and Secure Networks (DESN) domain.
Key responsibilities will include leading and managing the DESN portfolio, ensuring delivery of complex engineering and ICT projects within scope, budget and schedule.
You will develop and maintain portfolio roadmaps aligned with Defence strategic priorities and capability lifecycle, oversee governance, risk management, and compliance across all DESN initiatives, and coordinate with Defence stakeholders, contractors, and technical teams to ensure integration and interoperability of systems.
Additionally, you will ensure alignment with Defence Capability Lifecycle, ICT policies, and cyber security frameworks, as well as support workforce planning, mentoring, and development of engineering and project staff.

Our ideal candidate will have significant experience in Defence portfolio or program management, with a proven track record in leading multi-disciplinary teams across secure ICT and engineering domains.
A strong understanding of Defence procurement, capability lifecycle, and technical regulations is essential, along with experience with secure network systems, DBSTP platforms, and classified environments.
High-level stakeholder engagement and communication skills are also required, as well as Bachelor degree qualifications in Engineering, ICT, Project Management or related discipline.
Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent are highly desirable, and a valid driver's licence is necessary.
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
