Located on the edge of the stunning Lake Rosebery, Tullah Lakeside Lodge is a destination venue offering accommodation, dining, and bar experiences to both locals and travellers. Our bar is central to the guest experience, and we are looking for a Bar Team Leader who is passionate about great drinks and exceptional service.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Team Leader to support the daily operations of our bar and lead by example on the floor. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is passionate about alcohol, has strong product knowledge, and enjoys interacting with guests at tables to enhance their experience while maintaining the highest operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the bar team during service and ensure the highest standard of customer service at all times
* Train, coach, and support staff to meet service and performance expectations
* Engage with guests at tables, offering drink recommendations and personalised service
* Maintain strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails
* Ensure cleaning schedules are followed and high standards of cleanliness are maintained
* Monitor and manage spillage and wastage to control costs
* Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising loss
* Ensure compliance with Tasmanian liquor licensing laws, RSA requirements, and venue policies
* Maintain high standards of presentation, safety, and professionalism
* Assist in handling customer feedback and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
About You
* Proven experience as a senior bartender, bar supervisor, or similar role
* Genuine passion for alcohol and strong beverage knowledge
* Confident, friendly, and comfortable interacting with customers at tables
* Strong leadership, communication, and training skills
* Holds a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
* Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
* Organised, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Eligibility Requirement
This position is open only to Australian citizens or permanent residents. Proof of work rights in Australia will be required.
