With Mercy, you'll have the chance to make an impact and gain experience that's hard to find elsewhere.**At Mercy Health, it's all about taking what we have and making it better.****To do that, we need you.****Join us as at Mercy Health and help our teams deliver even greater outcomes.****About the opportunity**At Mercy Health, each moment, no matter how small, truly matters - and as a Personal Care Assistant, you'll make a genuine difference when it's needed the most by:* Assist residents with daily personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.* Help with mobility, including transferring residents from bed to chair, assisting with walking, and using mobility aids safely.* Support residents with feeding, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration, and assisting with special dietary needs.* Assist with medication reminders and support residents in taking prescribed medications, under the guidance of a nurse.* Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a caring and comfortable environment for residents.* Help maintain a clean and safe living environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks, including making beds and cleaning rooms.* Assist with organizing and engaging in activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being.* Respond to residents' requests for assistance in a timely and professional manner.* Follow care plans as outlined by registered nurses and healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care are met.* Maintain confidentiality and respect for residents' privacy, dignity, and personal preferences.* Adhere to safety protocols, including infection control procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).**What you'll bring:**You're resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart.
