Job Description
The position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 7 day / 7 night rotating 12 hour roster pattern arrangement, with residential, DIDO or FIFO options available. The successful candidate will be responsible for Acid Plant and Feed Prep performance which will include providing a safe working environment, achieving department targets and the leadership and coordination of daily work activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Be first and foremost focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing and coaching your team
* Integrate with Maintenance and Project counterparts to ensure effective, pro-actively planned maintenance to minimise unplanned downtime
* Review work practices to ensure best practice
* Actively manage employee performance
* Promote continuous improvement with the Acid Plant Feed Prep Area
Requirements
Our successful candidates will:
* Demonstrate the confidence to lead by example, hold yourself and others accountable and coach others in 'Safety Leadership'
* Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels and disciplines
* Ability to lead, mentor and coach others
* Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles
* Experience within Acid/Chemical Production or minerals processing highly desirable
* Have the ability to communicate well with all stakeholders
* Have previous and proven experience as a people leader
* Have proven experience with HR performance management
