Who We Are

We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defence forces. It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT's product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system.

Job Purpose

The Production Planning & Process Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production processes, documentation, schedules, and resource planning to ensure seamless operations and adherence to quality and safety standards. The role requires a strong hands-on approach in manufacturing process control, risk mitigation, and continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Process & Documentation Management

Create, update, and maintain Production Procedures, Process Standards, Documentation, and Flow Diagrams.
Develop and manage Production Plans aligned with organizational goals and delivery targets.
Maintain and track Route Cards, production records, and drawings to ensure workflow transparency and process traceability.

Tools & Resource Management

Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, jigs, and fixtures, ensuring availability and readiness for production.
Ensure efficient utilization of workforce, machines, and resources to achieve operational efficiency.

Risk & Performance Management

Implement Risk Matrix and Skill Matrix for resource optimization and risk mitigation.
Conduct Risk Analysis and prepare mitigation plans for identified risks.
Track, monitor, and report KPIs to evaluate production efficiency and performance.

Maintenance & Continual Improvement

Maintain records of preventative and breakdown maintenance activities.
Drive and track continual improvement initiatives (Kaizen) to enhance productivity and reduce inefficiencies.

Production Planning & Scheduling

Plan, optimize, and execute production schedules based on business priorities and capacity availability.
Ensure compliance with FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention processes across production areas.

Quality & Compliance

Ensure all processes align with AS9100D standards to support aerospace-grade quality and safety.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality compliance and support audits.

ERP & System Management

Utilize and maintain familiarity with Oracle NetSuite ERP for production planning, resource allocation, and record management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
5–8 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing process engineering, or industrial engineering.
Experience in production planning, manufacturing process engineering, or industrial engineering.
Knowledge of AS9100D / aerospace standards preferred.
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and process documents.
Hands-on knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement concepts.
