Locum Osteopath – Hobart (6–8 Weeks, July Start)
HealthMatters Osteopathy & Wellness Centre – Sandy Bay, Hobart
HealthMatters Osteopathy is seeking a warm, confident, and autonomous osteopath to cover an established patient list for 6–8 weeks from early July, working Wednesday to Friday (hours negotiable). You'll be stepping into a well-booked caseload while the principal osteopath is on leave, ensuring continuity of care for her patients.
The clinic is located in the heart of Magnet Court, Sandy Bay — a vibrant health hub featuring podiatry, yoga, two local GP clinics, and plenty of nearby cafés and eateries. It's a friendly, community-oriented area with strong foot traffic and a supportive professional network.
About the Role
Locum position covering the principal osteopath's patient list
Wednesday–Friday, hours negotiable
6–8 weeks, starting early July
Standard 1-hour appointments (can be adjusted to suit practitioner preference)
Work alongside an acupuncturist, remedial massage therapist, psychologist, and another osteopath
Generous remuneration, depending on experience
Opportunity for longer-term work if the fit is right
Ability to manage payments and invoices within Cliniko
Located in Sandy Bay, Hobart
About You
You'll thrive in this role if you are:
* AHPRA-registered osteopath
* Confident working autonomously and managing your own caseload
* Skilled in structural techniques with strong communication and rapport-building
* Comfortable developing and communicating treatment plans
* Professional, reliable, and patient-centred
* Able to maintain continuity of care for an established patient list
* Dry needling and cranial skills are advantageous but not essential
