Job Role:
As a Fire Alarm Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and servicing fire alarm systems at a large-scale hospital. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure these systems meet current standards and customer requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
* Conduct routine inspections of fire safety systems, including alarms, to relevant British Standards while adhering to health & safety requirements.
* Perform maintenance and repairs, planning your own day as a site-based engineer across a large campus.
* Provide technical advice to customers on fire safety best practices and help them understand and comply with fire safety regulations.
Requirements:
1. Technical/Industry Knowledge: You must be competent in working on fire alarm systems with knowledge of emergency lighting (18th Edition BS Wiring – Test and Inspection).
2. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess potential risks and propose practical solutions.
3. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication to relay information to various stakeholders, customers, and strong interpersonal skills for teamwork and customer service.
4. Adaptability to handle dynamic situations and changing regulations.
5. Driving Licence: Full current UK driving licence.
