This is an exciting growth opportunity for a talented lawyer, to work on impactful and market-shaping transactions as a key team member in one of Australia’s most respected Corporate & Capital Markets practices, led by industry-leading partners Jonathan Algar and Stuart Byrne. As an integral member of our expanding practice, you will act for domestic and global clients across sectors spanning technology, fin-tech, health, financial services and retail. You will experience significant hands-on experience as a lawyer in this team, including opportunities to build direct client relationships. You will develop and refine your technical and commercial skills acting on Australian and cross-border corporate transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, and public and private capital raisings including IPOs. You will also advise on strategic corporate matters, governance, shareholder activism and ASX listing rules. You will have opportunities for secondments as well working collaboratively with other practice groups and teams, expanding your professional network. You will receive first-rate mentorship and career development support from the partners and other senior practitioners within the group, as well as having the opportunity mentor and share knowledge with junior team members. Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will have: 4 - 6 years' experience post-qualification experience within a distinguished corporate law practice; Equity capital markets experience would be desirable, but is not essential; The ability to take responsibility for your tasks, and contribute to driving matters forward with initiative; Strong client service focus and exceptional work ethic; Genuine team player with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; and A passion for sharing knowledge aiding in the mentorship of junior lawyers and providing timely feedback to aid their development.
