The Role
APS 3 Logistics Officer is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve straightforward logistics inventory management work within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to understand and comply with relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements.
They work within established priorities and procedures, while exercising some autonomy about how their work is performed. Responsibilities include
* Prioritising and managing workflow and producing work subject to routine monitoring by senior Defence employees.
* Undertaking specialist, procedural, clerical, administrative support or operational tasks, including basic research and analysis activities to support their work unit.
* Providing limited supervision and support to Defence employees at lower classifications.
* Liaising and applying standard procedures to meet stakeholder requirements and achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.
* Contributing towards ongoing self‐improvement and professional development.
Accountable to deliver on logistics inventory management and support the integrated workforce.
About our Team
Working within the Logistics Cell in the 5th/6th Battalion, the Royal Victoria Regiment, the team's primary function is to ensure the effective management of equipment, stores, and supply chain operations to maintain operational readiness for training and deployment activities.
The Logistics Cell supports both routine and field-based logistics tasks, contributing directly to the capability and preparedness of the Battalion and aligning with Defence's broader mission by enabling efficient resource utilisation, compliance with logistics governance, and support to force generation objectives.

Eligibility
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at "Negative Vetting Level 1".
