About the role
The Disposal Officer facilitates the accurate recording, processing and storage of firearms, prohibited weapons/articles, dangerous goods, explosive/security sensitive dangerous substances and related exhibits submitted for destruction to the Weapons & Ordnance Disposal Unit (WODU).
This is a unique opportunity to work in a productive team for the New South Wales Police Force helping to facilitate the Firearms Buyback. The role may require travel around NSW.
While the role is temporary for up to 24 months, positions in the Weapons & Ordnance Disposal Unit are vacated from time to time and the skills learned on the Buyback are transferable to the permanent WODU Disposal Officer position.
