About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our team and play a key role in strengthening and enhancing our Health, Safety, Environment and Quality systems across the business.
This role is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and continuous improvement of our Work Health, Safety and Environmental (WHSE) management systems. You will work closely with operational teams, contractors and leadership to ensure compliance with statutory and contractual obligations while promoting a strong safety culture.
The HSEQ Advisor is critical to ensuring safe operations, effective contractor management and maintaining high standards of WHSE performance across our portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee online WHSE services, including procurement and budget management.
* Administer workers' compensation payments and monitor associated costs.
* Maintain WHSE processes, procedures and records within SharePoint and client systems to ensure compliance with current standards.
* Review and manage high-risk works and Permit to Work systems to ensure legislative and client compliance.
* Monitor WHSE performance and provide reporting including LTIFR and MTIFR statistics to internal stakeholders and clients.
* Coordinate and manage internal and external WHSE audits, supporting ongoing certification and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Assist in maintaining accreditations aligned with AS/NZS 4801 and ISO 14001.
* Develop and deliver WHSE training programs in collaboration with HR and operational teams.
* Support mobilisation and transition of new contracts and re-transition of existing contracts.
* Provide WHSE input for tenders, fee proposals and Expressions of Interest (EOIs).
* Lead incident investigations and manage contractor hazard reporting to mitigate operational and reputational risks.
About You
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years' experience in an OH&S Advisor or Coordinator role.
* Experience within construction, property management, or facilities management environments.
* Proficiency in iAuditor, incident investigation, and safety reporting.
* Aviation Safety Experience
* Experience with permit to work systems and permit issuance.
* Strong report writing, analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Certificate IV in OH&S Management.
* Formal tertiary qualifications in Property, Commerce, Business or a related discipline.
* Minimum 1 year of ICAM training with experience conducting investigations.
* Experience with OH&S auditing.
* Permit issuer training or equivalent safety system expertise.
* Diploma in OH&S Management or higher qualification in a related discipline.
