The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex, trauma-informed services, particularly in the areas of domestic, family violence and/or modern slavery and/or child protection.As a Case Manager in the Forced Marriages Specialist Support Program, you will provide intensive case management support, working with clients to empower them on their journey to safety and independence. Your empathetic approach and strong advocacy skills will be essential in navigating the complex legal and cultural challenges. Engaging with families, communities and services, you will have a key role in raising awareness of the risks of Forced Marriage.This is a permanent full-time position based in Unley (SA) with work from home flexibility.Key ResponsibilitiesWorking with individuals/families who are victims/survivors of Forced Marriage and Family ViolenceOffering emotional & practical assistanceFacilitating access to essential servicesWorking closely with internal and external stakeholdersParticipating in community awareness activities to promote understanding and prevention of Forced MarriagesSkills & ExperienceA recognised degree qualification in Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology, Nursing or Mental Health, or a recognised Diploma in a related field and working towards a degree qualification.Experience developing quality case plans or individual plansDemonstrated experience working autonomously with multiple clients simultaneouslyExperience working with individuals, families or groups from a culturally appropriate perspectiveHigh level communication, influencing, liaison, negotiation and mediation skillsSuccessful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).Additional SupportLife Without Barriers offers a dedicated After-Hours Service (AHS) for all NISS and Child Youth and Family programs.
