About the role
Reporting to the Site Services Supervisor, you will form an integral part of the Facilities team by safely providing high quality plumbing services that are vital to the ongoing success of the Ernest Henry Mining operation.
Key responsibilities include: Installing, maintaining, and repairing water supply and sewerage systems across village, mine site (non-operational areas), and town housing
Operating and maintaining sewer and water treatment plants
Maintaining and servicing commercial kitchen gas appliances
Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Diagnosing faults and complete timely repairs to minimise service disruption
Maintaining accurate service and inspection records
Ensuring all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and site safety procedures
Coordinating with other trades and departments for integrated maintenance
Upholding a clean and hazard-free work environment
Supporting emergency response activities (manual driver's licence required)
Requirement to be on call on a rotating roster About you You will hold a current Queensland Plumbing Licence and Gas Fitting Licence, along with a manual driver's licence.
Additional tickets such as Forklift, EWP, Confined Space, and Working at Heights are highly regarded.
You bring experience in water and sewerage plant operation, backflow prevention, and broad building maintenance.
You must be safety-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in remote environments.
