We are a well established not for profit organisation that treats and supports people whose lives are affected by alcohol and other drugs as well as people with mental health and gambling concerns. We're growing fast and building a reputation as a trusted, innovative provider, focused on clinical excellence… and we'd love you to be part of it.

We are looking for two AOD Counsellors Case Managers to join our team based in Longreach QLD (visit gofarout.com.au). We offer one full-time position and one part-time role, working 19 hours per week. Both roles are maximum term roles until July 2026.

The gross salary for this role ranges between $88,109 to $105,346 per annum (pro rata for part-time),depending on knowledge and experience plus superannuation and salary packaging. In addition to a competitive annual salary, we offer relocation assistance of up to $5,000 for single applicants, or a $200 weekly housing allowance for full-time roles. This support is available to individuals relocating for the position and will be offered until 30 June 2026.

Living in Central West QLD, you'll never be too far away with daily flights to and from Brisbane out of Longreach, and weekly flights to Townsville. You'll be a part of a close-knit community in Longreach, offering a relaxed and easy-going lifestyle. There's plenty of opportunity to socialise and meet people with unique events spread across the year. If you need a break from the traffic and fast-paced city lifestyle, Longreach could be the ideal change for you This role provides a unique opportunity to explore and experience many parts of Outback QLD.

As an AOD Counsellor Case Manager, you'll engage and support your clients in their ongoing management, counselling, and treatment of AOD dependency and other associated factors. You'll advocate for them, celebrate with them when they achieve their goals, and help to develop their capacity and confidence to exit treatment. A key component of this role will see the AOD Counsellor Case Manager promote awareness of the program and set up new referral pathways.

What you'll bring

Along with a great attitude and passion for your work, you will also have the following skills and attributes:

* Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, human services, occupational therapy, or other health related disciplines – we welcome new graduates to apply
* Excellent relationship and rapport building – this role includes networking with local providers and attending meetings and events

* A sound understanding of the professional, ethical, and legislative frameworks, including understanding and setting boundaries

You will be required to hold or be able to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and a valid Australian Drivers Licence.
