About the role
This is a contract position for a Leave Replacement.
The main responsibilities include:
1. Providing opportunities for student engagement through diverse learning experiences that encourage and support students in achieving personal excellence.
2. Being a positive role model through actions as a committed Catholic educator.
3. Assisting students with individual and group work according to the curriculum requirements.
4. Supporting Key Learning Leaders in reviewing, designing, and developing curriculum.
5. Contributing positively to the St Bernard's College teaching team.
6. Participating in extra-curricular programs.
7. Performing other tasks as directed by the Key Learning Area Leaders and Deputy Principal.
The successful applicant will have:
- A teaching qualification with current VIT registration.
- Experience teaching Mathematics to Years 7 & 8.
- An understanding of and commitment to the Catholic philosophy and ethos of education.
- An understanding of the pastoral care needs of boys in a Catholic secondary school.
- Experience within a Catholic educational organization is an advantage.
