Senior Secondary Engineer – High Voltage Substations

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Senior Secondary Engineer to lead and contribute to the design and implementation of cutting-edge electrical infrastructure.
The Role
As a Senior Secondary Engineer, you will take the lead in designing, reviewing, and delivering secondary systems for high voltage substations. This is an opportunity to contribute your expertise to projects that support renewable energy integration and enhance grid reliability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and review secondary systems for high voltage substations, including protection, control, and SCADA systems
2. Develop and review single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and functional schematics
3. Perform technical studies, fault analysis, and relay settings for protection systems
4. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
5. Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, codes, and client requirements
6. Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership within the team
About You
1. A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
2. 3+ years of experience in secondary system design for high voltage substations
3. Strong knowledge of protection and control systems, including relay coordination and fault analysis
4. Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., DigSILENT, ETAP, AutoCAD)
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
6. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
