About the Role

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook high‑quality breakfast dishes and pub‑style meals to spec and on time.
* Maintain excellent food presentation, portion control, and consistency across all services.
* Manage prep efficiently so the kitchen is always ready for service.
* Follow all food safety and hygiene standards (including cleaning schedules and storage).
* Work closely with the front‑of‑house team to ensure smooth service and communication.
* Help with stock rotation, ordering, and minimizing waste.
* Contribute ideas for specials and menu improvements when required.
* Support a positive, respectful, and safe kitchen culture.
About You
* Self‑motivated and reliable – you take ownership of your section and don't need micromanaging.
* Strong experience with breakfast service (eggs, hot breakfast plates, sides, etc.).
* Confident with pub‑style food: schnitzels, burgers, parmas, steaks, salads, sides, and comfort dishes.
* Able to handle busy services while staying organised and calm.
* Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices.
* A team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
* Flexible with shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience as a Chef, Cook, or similar role in a café, pub, or restaurant.
* Relevant culinary qualification (preferred but not essential if experience is strong).
* Knowledge of dietary requirements (gluten‑free, vegetarian, vegan) is essential.
