We’re looking for a Data Scientist with a strong AI Engineering focus to design, build, and deploy machine learning solutions that deliver real, measurable impact across our products.
The roleYou’ll work closely with product, engineering, and testing teams to take ML ideas from concept through to production‑ready, scalable services. This role is hands‑on and delivery‑focused, with responsibility for deploying, monitoring, and improving models operating in live environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and deploy AI‑driven features in collaboration with product and engineering teamsBuild, deploy, and maintain production‑ready ML servicesMonitor model performance, reliability, and accuracy in productionPerform data analysis, feature engineering, and model optimisationApply modern ML techniques, including transformer‑based architecturesStay across emerging AI/ML trends and identify opportunities for applicationContribute to Agile delivery through planning and continuous improvement
Skills & ExperienceStrong foundation in Machine Learning and AIAdvanced Python skillsDemonstrated hands‑on experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlowExperience deploying ML models to production environmentsHands‑on experience with transformer-based architectures and librariesUnderstanding of model evaluation, optimisation, and monitoringExperience working with SQL and structured dataDemonstrated ability to learn new tools, programming languages, and technologies quicklyStrong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skillsTertiary qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or equivalent experience
Our ideal candidate will also have:Experience with MLOps (versioning, monitoring, automated deployment)Experience with AWS, FastAPI, or Ray ServeExposure to CNNs and large‑scale model trainingPostgraduate or industry research experience in MLStrong data wrangling skills (NumPy, Pandas, Jupyter)
This is a hybrid schedule position with 3 days per week on-site at our Mulgrave office.
