Forensicare is expanding its services across Regional and Rural Victoria, establishing a site in Bendigo to support the Loddon Mallee region. This newly created position provides an exciting opportunity to be part of a new service, reflective of the expanding growth of Forensicare.
About the Role:
* The Manager will support the establishment of the regional site and operations.
* This role is responsible for coordinating the effective delivery of services delivered by the regional team. It requires coordination of response to referral and program enquiries, development and maintenance of strong relationships with key stakeholders, contribution to ongoing growth and development of the program, and achievement of performance targets.
Duties:
* Provide high-level management, clinical, and forensic expertise to the regional and rural team.
* Coordinate the implementation and operation of the regional team in conjunction with the Consultant Psychiatrist.
* Oversee the ongoing development and implementation of the service model for regional forensic mental health services.
* Coordinate the delivery of the regional team's interventions and reports.
* Advise the Executive Director of Community Operations and Director of Clinical Services on emerging issues likely to impact the regional team.
* Contribute at a senior level to strategic planning and service development activities.
About You:
* Commitment to mental health consumer recovery and incorporating consumer perspectives into service delivery.
* Relevant tertiary qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate Board or Association as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist.
* Minimum 10-year post-registration mental health experience.
* Ability to coordinate a multi-disciplinary team and lead complex programs effectively and efficiently.
* Experience in undertaking comprehensive psychosocial and risk assessments, and in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical mental health interventions.
* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including ability to consult, liaise, facilitate, and negotiate with key stakeholders, mental health professionals, clients, and carers.
* Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, mental health, and criminal justice systems.
