Reporting into the Manager, Environment & Sustainability, this role will be accountable for delivering environmental performance, implementing client requirements whilst the coordination and communications of environmental requirements within the Project Team and to stakeholders.**The Project**The project includes the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant with first production in 2028. Works include marine works and tunnels, seawater intake system, a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, groundwater system, drinking water storage and pump system, supported by civil, electrical and bulk earthworks.**Key Accountabilities*** Contribute and implement comprehensive environmental management plans in accordance with relevant regulations, standards, and project requirements.* Perform environmental assessments, surveys, and monitoring activities to identify and mitigate potential impacts on the project, including dust, noise, vibration, and water quality.* Assist with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and community groups to ensure compliance and address environmental concerns.* Collaborate with project teams to integrate environmental considerations into planning, design, construction, and operational phases.* Compile the preparation of environmental reports, permit applications, and documentation required for regulatory approvals.* Contribute to environmental performance metrics, track progress, and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve sustainability goals.* Participate in regular site inspections and audits to assess compliance with environmental requirements and implement continuous improvement initiatives.* Stay abreast of emerging environmental trends, regulations, and best practices to inform decision-making and enhance environmental performance.* Serve as a trusted point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing advice and guidance on environmental matters.**Required Skills and Competencies*** Hands-on experience monitoring dust, noise, vibration, and water quality.* Previous onsite environmental provider experience.* Minimum 4 years post-graduate experience.* Demonstrated involvement in projects valued at $500M or greater.* Strong adaptability and solutions focused* Experience on major civil infrastructure is highly desirable**What we offer**At ACCIONA, we offer a dynamic and challenging work environment where our employees can grow and develop their careers.
