We are seeking a highly skilled Agentic AI Engineer to join our team and build the next generation of autonomous systems on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role is at the cutting edge of applied AI, moving beyond predictive models to create sophisticated AI agents.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robust AI agents that leverage Google's Vertex AI ecosystem, and core infrastructure to automate critical business processes, interact with internal and external systems, and deliver intelligent, autonomous solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Agentic Architecture: Design and implement scalable, event-driven architectures for single and multi-agent AI systems on GCP.
LLM Integration: Build and fine-tune agentic logic using Google's Gemini models and the Vertex AI platform. Develop sophisticated prompting strategies (e.g., ReAct, CoT) and evaluation frameworks.
Tooling & RAG: Equip agents with tools by integrating them with internal databases (BigQuery, Cloud SQL), third-party APIs (using Apigee or Cloud Functions), and search capabilities.
Data Grounding: Implement advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using Vertex AI Search (formerly Generative AI App Builder) and Vector Search to provide agents with real-time, factual context.
Orchestration: Develop robust orchestration logic using frameworks like A2A, and MCP to manage agent state, planning, and task execution.
Deployment & Scaling: Containerize and deploy agentic applications as scalable microservices using Agent Engine or Cloud Run.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
Proven experience in software engineering with strong proficiency in Python.
Hands-on experience building, deploying, and managing applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Demonstrable experience building applications using Large Language Models (LLMs) (e.g., Gemini, GPT, Claude).
Familiarity with AI agent concepts and frameworks (e.g., A2A, LangChain, LlamaIndex).
Experience with software development best practices, including CI/CD, Git, and automated testing.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's or PhD in Computer Science or AI/ML.
Deep expertise in the Vertex AI ecosystem (Vertex AI Pipelines, Vertex AI Endpoints, Vertex AI Search, and model tuning).
Proven experience designing and building complex, multi-step AI agents that can plan and use tools.
Production experience with container orchestration (Agent Engine) and serverless compute (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions).
Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and messaging systems (e.g., Pub/Sub).
Experience implementing complex RAG pipelines at scale.
Google Cloud Professional certification (e.g., Cloud Architect, Machine Learning Engineer).
