Due to growth, we are seeking the employment of a Fire Technician - Kalgoorlie (Residential) to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to join ARA Fire recognised for its strong customer focus in fire protection, service, and minor works.

Duties and Responsibilities

Working autonomously and within a tight-knit team Fire Technician - Kalgoorlie (Residential) is supported by administrative and trades persons to work within the Service team providing I&T and D&C duties for our key remote clients on a full time employment basis, maintaining Fire Detection, VESDA, Pumps, Sprinkler/Deluge/Special Hazards systems, Hydrants, Hose reels and Portables across our Kalgoorlie/Boulder Operations.

Role: Fire Technician - Kalgoorlie (Residential)

Salary : Based on skills/experience

Roster : Full time (Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week)

Sites: Kalgoorlie/Boulder clients

Accommodation: Can be provided in shared house or a housing allowance

Vehicle: Can be provided or a vehicle allowance

Start date: Immediate Start

Duties include:

I&T routine compliance testing to AS1851

D&C / breakdown works,

Close liaison with our client on site personal,

Managing your own daily schedule,

Scoping of materials for D&C and Breakdown tasks,

Completing all on-site paperwork to access locations and perform tasks,

Reporting directly to our Perth based Account Manager,

Work with ARA Fire Sprinkler Fitter to assist, perform 2 man testing etc.

Completion of task within our Service Maintenance software CLARAFY.

Requirements:

Electrician Licence or Fire Alarm Trade Certificate

Current drivers licence inclusive of 4WD certification

Completion of medical inclusive of drug & alcohol test

Current Senior 1st aid course (preferable)

Preference to those that have worked on mine sites previously

Extinguishing Agent Handling Licence (EAHL)

The successful applicant requires a high degree of organisational skills, prioritisation of tasks, customer focus, calm, focused, self-motivated, interaction with clients' daily and owns a task through to its completion.
