Contract Trainer – Work Skills 4 days per week | 20 weeks (with potential extension based on program success)
Work Skills is seeking an experienced and engaging Contract Trainer to deliver Life Skills training to students within the new Lockyer Valley Correctional Centre.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a trainer who is passionate about education, mentoring, and supporting learners to develop practical skills in a structured and supportive environment.

About the Role
In this contract position, you will deliver training on behalf of Work Skills (RTO The Life Skills programs are fully developed and supported with detailed session plans and trainer guides, enabling you to focus on high-quality delivery and meaningful learner engagement.
You will work in a safe and well-resourced teaching environment, supported by teacher support staff, with all resources provided to help you succeed and enjoy your role as both a Trainer and Mentor.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver Life Skills training in line with provided session plans
* Facilitate engaging, inclusive, and structured learning experiences
* Support and mentor students to build confidence and practical life skills
* Work collaboratively with on-site education and support staff
* Maintain required training documentation and reporting requirements

About You
You will ideally have:
* Experience delivering or facilitating Life Skills, personal development, or employability programs
* Strong facilitation, communication, and mentoring skills
* A supportive, respectful, and learner-focused approach
* Experience working with diverse or disadvantaged learners (highly regarded)
* Ability to meet correctional facility clearance requirements
