Junior Employment Lawyer (2-5 PAE) - Brisbane
Do work that actually matters. If you went into law to make a difference, not just push paper, this is worth your attention!
This is an opportunity to join a well-established national firm with a strong reputation in employment and industrial relations. You will work closely with a highly experienced Partner, who is an Accredited Specialist in this field. Gain exposure to a broad mix of litigation, advisory and human rights related matters.
This is not a purely advisory role. You will be involved in real disputes that impact people's lives, acting across a mix of employee, union and institutional work.
You will develop strong advocacy skills early and build a well-rounded employment law practice.
The role will see you:
* Working across unfair dismissal, general protections, discrimination and industrial disputes
* Assisting on and running litigated matters in state and federal jurisdictions
* Drafting submissions, advice and court documents
* Engaging directly with clients and contributing to strategy
* Building your advocacy and litigation capability
We are looking for:
* 2-5 years PAE (newly admitted candidates with strong exposure also considered)
* Experience or a genuine interest in employment, IR or litigation
* Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills
* A proactive mindset with the confidence to take ownership of work
* Someone who wants to learn, develop and be involved
In return, you will receive:
* Direct mentoring and hands‐on training from an experienced Partner
* Clear progression opportunities within a national practice
* Exposure to meaningful, high‐impact work
* A supportive team environment that values development
