An established and esteemed recreational club located on the Mornington Peninsula is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for an immediate-start temporary assignment. This is a hands-on role supporting business-as-usual finance operations during a period of transition.
Reporting to senior leadership, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, ensuring continuity, accuracy, and reliable reporting across the contract period.
Key Responsibilities
Manage month-end close, journals, accruals, and balance sheet integrity
Prepare management reports, budgets, forecasts, and cashflow updates
Ensure compliance with statutory obligations (BAS, GST, payroll tax, etc.)
Act as a key finance contact for internal stakeholders and external advisors
Oversee end-to-end finance operations, including AP, AR, payroll oversight, and reconciliations
Provide practical, hands-on support to the broader administration team as needed
About You:
Proven experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role
Strong technical accounting skills with a practical, roll-up-your-sleeves approach
Comfortable working onsite in a small to mid-sized organisation
Able to step in quickly, work autonomously, and add value from day one
Experience in hospitality, leisure, clubs, or member-based organisations will be highly regarded
Available to start immediately or at short notice
