About this Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Area Operations Manager to lead our operations in the Gladstone region.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the development, growth, and safe delivery of our operations.
Your key responsibilities will include safety management, business growth and strategy, financial management, workforce management, resource allocation, site oversight, project support, budget control, system compliance, tendering and reporting, engineering standards, and project performance.
In addition, you will have experience in infrastructure, mining, and energy industries, excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with clients professionally.
You will also have extensive project delivery skills including budgeting, coordinating work priorities, cost control, stakeholder management, subcontractor management, documentation, and statutory approvals.
A proven track record of delivering complex remediation projects is essential.
You should have an understanding of Australian mining regulations and coal mining specific challenges.
Furthermore, you should possess leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Familiarity with FIFO operations and remote workforce management is highly desirable.
Proficiency in the use of Primavera, Microsoft Office, and MS Project is required.
