Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team as a Financial Operations Specialist.
About the Role
This is a full-time position that involves managing financial operations, including accounting for customer bookings, prepayments, expense accruals, general journals, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll tax, superannuation, fuel usage review and reconciliation, and preparation of BAS and ABS surveys.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accounting for customer bookings, ensuring accurate financial records and timely payments.
* Managing prepayments, expense accruals, and leave entitlements, maintaining a healthy cash flow and minimizing financial risks.
* Preparing and reviewing general journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Reviewing and posting stocktake data, ensuring inventory levels are up-to-date and accurately reflected in financial reports.
* Coordinating with external parties, such as suppliers and contractors, to ensure smooth payment processes and minimize disputes.
Requirements:
* Degree qualifications in accounting or a related field.
* A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and external parties.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve financial issues efficiently.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information discreetly.
* Progression to CPA or CA is desirable, but not essential.
