We are looking for a highly trained and motivated person who has the ability to work in a fast paced environment against tight deadlines and with a real passion to make a difference to vulnerable children and families.You will be part of a special team delivering an alternative form of care proceedings to improve outcomes for children, supporting parents to overcome substance misuse, mental health & domestic abuse problems that have put their children at risk of serious harm.Candidates will be required to travel between sites across Walsall, Sandwell and Dudley so a driving license and access to a vehicle is required.Where: Walsall, Sandwell And DudleyFull Time Hours: 37.5 per weekFull Time Salary Range: £34,214.21 - £36,183.91 dependent on experience, pro rata for part time hoursContract Type: Fixed term for until 31st March 2026Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week.
For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.Secondments from Sandwell Children's Trust will also be considered.ResponsibilitiesAbout the role:Work flexibly and creatively to establish and support our service users in making a positive difference to their lives.Complete direct work with service users around the issues they face.Through reflective practice, team formulation and training, support the team to increase knowledge, skills, and professional confidence around the needs of the people we support.Ensure that the team are adhering to best practice guidelines and the delivery of high-quality care.Be responsible for writing assessments and preparing court reports so good report writing skills and attention to detail is important.About you:Knowledge of current legislation surrounding children, young people and safeguarding practice.Significant experience of leading teams who work with families where children are subject to Child Protection or Child in Need Plans Experience of supervising staff working with children, young people and parents to achieve positive outcomes.Experience of working in teams who support families displaying challenging behaviour in one or more of the following fields: social work; youth offending; substance misuse; probation; health; mental health, domestic abuse.Knowledge of health and social care legislation relating to children, young people and families.Meeting demanding targets and deadlinesPossess, or be willing to work towards a recognised qualification in health, social care or managementKnowledge of child development and the impact of parenting and external factors of wellbeing and outcomes.Knowledge of Safeguarding processes, court proceedings and child protection thresholdsWhat we will give to you:Support of the multi-disciplinary team - lower case load of approximately 20 families a year25 days holiday (+ bank holidays) rising with each years' service (capped at 30 days) pro rataPaid 'Wellness' hour each week along with a 'Wellness' hub and Employee Assist ProgrammeContributory pension schemeA great selection of benefits incl.
