Role Overview:
This is no ordinary Mining Superintendents opportunity. We are looking for someone hungry for the chance to roll their sleeves up, apply their expertise and be a key leader in the Mining Operations team focusing on safety, operational performance, team capability development and continuous improvement.
The Tritton Mining Operations has been continuously improving its performance and is in an excellent position to achieve its goals, and we are looking for a Superintendent to work with our Mine Operations Manager to continue this journey. We are ramping up, developing our own internal capability and bringing new talent to this team to support our immediate and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Safety: Ensure all mining activities are carried out in a safe manner and that work is executed to design specification and tolerances. Lead the mining team by supporting and encouraging a safety-first culture
* Capability Development: Provide effective coaching, monitoring, and encouragement to the Underground Mining Coordinators, Supervisors and other underground employees
* Leadership: Set clear goals and expectations, provide feedback and address employee performance issues in a timely manner to allow them to fulfil the requirements of their position description safely and productively
* Compliance: Work in conjunction with the MOM to ensure mine safety and regulatory compliance is achieved
* Continuous Improvement: Work with the team to continuously identify ways to safely improve production, identify efficiencies and critically assess opportunities to improve
What You Bring:
We're looking for a leader, someone with demonstrated hard rock experience, who can mentor and build successful mining teams. You will have an exceptional commitment to safety and focus on continuous improvements. Additionally, you will bring:
* Commitment to safety
* Proven track record of delivering improved production outcomes in underground hard rock mining
* NSW Mining Supervisor Certificate of Competency (or ability to attain)
* Knowledge of UG Hard rock governance/legislative requirements
* A desire to 'get your hands dirty', develop team capability and see opportunities within challenges
* Enthusiasm, commitment and self-direction
