The Role
We’re on the lookout for a Co-Venue Manager to work alongside our existing Venue Manager in a supportive, dual-leadership role. You'll share responsibilities, support each other, and help continue building the culture that makes The Lame Duck shine.
This is a Permanent Part-time position (approx 30 hours) with flexibility—including the option for a regular Friday off and Christmas & New Years break. Sharing this role offers work life balance.
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar hospitality management role
* Confident leadership, strong organisational skills, and a calm, solutions-focused mindset
* Solid understanding of bar operations and beer systems
* Hands-on, proactive, and ready to lead from the floor
* Open to current Bar Managers or Assistant Managers looking for the next step
* Passion for music, nightlife, and exceptional customer experience
* Experience with production and DJ equipment is advantageous, though not a requirement
Key Responsibilities:
* Champion a safe, friendly, and inclusive environment for both patrons and team members
* Oversee venue administration, including ordering, inventory, and system management
* Handle staff rostering, ensuring smooth operations across all shifts
* Maintain the presentation, functionality, and safety of the venue at all times
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards, including RSA, OH&S, and licensing
* No marketing or social media management required—your focus will be entirely on operations and people.
