We are a bulk billing multi-site General Practice located in the Lockyer Valley with practices in Gatton, Laidley, Plainland and Rosewood. We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our growing team. We have an opportunity for a casual Medical Receptionist. This role is ideal for someone with General Practice reception experience who is patient-focused, organised, friendly and reliable.
Casual Medical Receptionist – About the Role
As a Medical Receptionist in a General Practice, you will be responsible for providing high-quality administrative and reception support in our busy bulk billing medical practices.
Key duties include:
* Front desk medical reception and patient check-in
* Appointment scheduling
* Managing phone calls, emails, and patient enquiries
* Processing MBS, DVA, and private billing
* Using medical practice software (Best Practice)
* Maintaining accurate patient records
* Ensuring patient confidentiality and privacy compliance
* Supporting doctors, nurses, and allied health staff
Medical Receptionist – Skills & Experience Required
* Recent experience as a Medical Receptionist in a General Practice is preferred but not compulsory.
* Medicare billing systems knowledge can be trained on the job for suitable candidates
* Experience with Best Practice software (highly regarded)
* Ability to work in a fast-paced medical reception environment
* Strong understanding of General Practice workflows
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
* High level of computer literacy
* Reliable, flexible, and professional
* Available to work weekdays. Weekends when required.
