Location
This iconic Resort is situated between the renowned Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest in Tropical North Queensland. The resort comprises of 295 guest rooms, suites and villas.
Department
Working within our friendly and professional Reservations Department, this position reports directly to the Guest Communications & Reservations Manager.
The Role
* Deliver premium client service to our guests securing their bookings and promoting Resort facilities and Marriott Bonvoy
* Check daily reports for room lists and changes
* Liaise daily with Reservations Manager, Events, and Sales & Marketing team to ensure correct information is provided for forecasting & reporting
* Check rooms availability and liaise with revenue management for best rate and assess availability for group bookings
* Set up group rate schedules & enter group bookings
* Attend rundown, pre con and weekly sales meetings
* Liaise with conference organisers to ensure timely & correct rooming lists
* Provide accurate end of month figures for reporting
* Issue FIT group runsheets
* Carry out handovers with front office manager for group arrivals
About You
* A positive 'can-do' working style
* A flexible approach with the ability to identify and successfully implement new initiatives and problem-solving solutions
* A collaborative and open communication style
* 12 months working in a similar role
* Experience in a Hotel or Travel Agency is desirable
* Have valid rights to work in Australia
