Maintenance Manager - Full Time
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for leading the hotel's maintenance department, ensuring facilities provide the best experience for guests. This is a dynamic role that requires collaboration with teams, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a small team of Handy Persons, guiding their development through feedback and goal-setting.
* Oversee budgets, energy management, preventive maintenance, and capital planning to maintain the hotel's condition.
* Manage renovations and major projects, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely completion within budget.
* Coordinate multiple projects and contractors while maintaining smooth operations and minimal disruption.
* Maintain the hotel's preventive maintenance program and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
* Work with external contractors and partners to deliver high-quality work and foster excellent relationships.
* Commit to running a sustainable hotel while contributing to sustainability efforts.
Requirements:
* A proactive, dependable individual who thrives in a team-oriented environment.
* Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong problem-solving abilities, remaining calm under pressure.
* A hands-on approach, able to handle manual tasks up to 15kg with ease.
* Previous experience in general building maintenance is an advantage, though hotel-specific experience is not required.
* A trade qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.
