**About the Assignment**
The primary objective of this position is to deliver Cash Management, Revenue and Accounts Receivable services to the business. As the Team Leader you will ensure efficient transactional accounting and reporting; whilst installing a culture of accountability and ownership of services provided to our customers, including the Asset Decision Support Teams, Group Finance, Group Taxation, Production Allocation and Commercial.
Tasks include:
- Development and delivery of standards, objectives and plans for the Cash and Accounts Receivable team.
- Provide Cash, Revenue and Account Receivable accounting guidance and leadership to ensure accountability of the following business processes, including:
- Recording of inventory and revenue.
- Preparing and posting actual and accrual journals.
- Facilitate the settlement and confirmation of Treasury transactions.
- Receipt funds into the General Ledger.
- Managing the Joint Venture cash position through the preparation of timely cash settlements.
- Assembling audit data as required.
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with bank account maintenance.
- Participate in process improvement projects across Finance.
- Debtor analysis and collection.
- Other minor journals, reconciliations, and clean ups.
- Manage customer relationships through the development of clear and concise communication channels.
- Establish, track and report on key performance indicators applicable to the team that measure timeliness and quality of the services being provided.
- Preparation and management of monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Other responsibilities as required by the General Manager Financial Services.
This assignment is initially offered for 6 months, engaged via Chandler Macleod.
Location for this assignment is Adelaide working full-time office hours.
**About You**
Essential experience required for this position includes:
- Cash Management and Accounts Receivable.
- Banking and back-office treasury.
- Senior experience in general accounting.
- Experience leading a small team.
- SAP Finance system knowledge.
- Demonstrated skills at an advanced level with Microsoft Excel.
- An eye for details and a not afraid to challenge the status quo.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience working cross functionally and managing different stakeholder needs.
- Joint Venture and Revenue Accounting desirable.
- Oil and Gas experience desirable.
**Mandatory Tickets / Quals / Certs**
- Bachelor level qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or an equivalent field.
- Qualified Accountant (ICAA, CPA or equivalent)
