IT Support / IT Technician — Job Description
An IT Support / IT Technician is responsible for maintaining computer systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and helping users with hardware, software, and network problems. They ensure that technology runs smoothly so employees or customers can work efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, networks, and software
* Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
* Provide technical assistance to users (in person, phone, or online)
* Perform system updates, backups, and security checks
* Set up user accounts, emails, and access permissions
* Monitor system performance and fix technical faults
* Document issues and solutions for future reference
Required Skills
* Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
* Basic networking knowledge (LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, IP settings)
* Problem-solving and analytical skills
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Typical Qualifications
* Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) can be helpful
* Practical experience with IT systems or helpdesk support

Pay: $76,000.00 – $91,000.00 per year
