La Trobe University is seeking an outstanding early career researcher to join the Violet Vines Marshman Centre for Rural Health Research (VVMCRHR), located within the La Trobe Rural Health School – Australia’s largest and most multidisciplinary rural health school.
As a Research Fellow, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact, outcomes-focused research that addresses disparities in rural health and wellbeing. The role is based at our vibrant Bendigo campus and offers the opportunity to be part of a nationally recognised centre of excellence in rural health research.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and contribute to high-quality research aligned with the Centre’s priorities, particularly across the RISE4SkinCancer and Rural Health Consumer Panel projects.
* Drive research translation through strong engagement with community, industry, and government partners.
* Produce peer-reviewed publications and contribute to funding applications and ethics approvals.
* Support the research capacity of the Centre by mentoring colleagues and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
* Build your track record as a supervisor of Honours, Masters and/or PhD students.
About You:
* A PhD or equivalent research experience in a relevant field.
* Proven research track record, including peer-reviewed publications and conference contributions.
* Strong skills in qualitative and/or quantitative data analysis, with a commitment to collaborative and participatory research approaches.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and work productively in diverse and inclusive teams.
* Experience in managing research projects and liaising effectively with external partners.
