What You'll Be Doing:
As an experienced Electrician you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in environments classified as hazardous due to the presence of flammable gases, vapours or dust at our Manufacturing site in Padstow, (South West Sydney).
This role requires a deep understanding of safety regulations, specialised equipment, and industry best practices to ensure the safe operation of electrical systems in high-risk areas.
Reporting to the Maintenance & Reliability Manager and working within a small team, you'll have the ownership and support you need to succeed in your role and the opportunity to make a significant impact to operations of our manufacturing facilities.
The role requires flexibility with working hours (across day and night shift work) including some overtime work on Saturdays (as required) and you will have a regular rostered day off every fortnight.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform electrical maintenance, fault-finding and repairs on plant equipment, production lines and facility systems.
* Diagnose and repair electrical faults on PLC-controlled systems, motors, and control circuits.
* Conduct preventative and scheduled maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
* Install, test and commission electrical systems and components as required.
* Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings and equipment manuals.
* Ensure all work complies with AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules, Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and company policies.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and update asset management systems.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to reliability and efficiency projects

What We're Looking for:
* Unrestricted Electricians licence and 3-5 years' experience as an Electrician in an industrial environment
* Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician UEE30820
* Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas Electrical UEE42622 or willingness to attain
* Current NSW Driver's Licence
* Confined space and working at heights and EWP licences, is desirable
* MEX software and Microsoft Excel experience
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and collaborate with other maintenance team members, production staff and contractors
* Commitment to safety and minimising downtime
