About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned software professional to join our engineering team as a Software Development Lead.
This role will involve collaborating with colleagues to design, develop, and deliver cutting-edge communications systems that support critical operations worldwide.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in software development, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality technical outcomes.
As a key member of our engineering team, you will contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirement derivation and system design through to coding, integration, testing, and deployment.
You will provide technical leadership across software design, development, and verification activities, applying your expertise to solve complex problems.
Working within Agile delivery frameworks, you will drive improvements in processes, mentor less experienced engineers, and take ownership of software builds and releases.
To be successful in this position, you will bring:
* Proven experience working in software development
* Extensive knowledge of C++, C, Python programming languages
* Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles
* Familiarity with Agile Software Engineering best practices
* Experience making engineering and architecture design decisions
* Proficiency in modern IDEs such as Visual Studio Code and Visual Studio 2022
* Knowledge of static code analysis tools
* Experience with Windows Visual Studio C++ Toolkits for development
* Understanding of DevOps and Automated Testing concepts
* Knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
