We are seeking an enthusiastic and efficient Patient Services Officer (Medical Receptionist) to join our team within our Tugun clinic.
On offer is a permanent, part-time role, working *****pm – 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
In this position, you will play a critical role in our patient's cancer journey, being their first point of contact and the friendly face that greets them every day.
This is a fast-paced role working across various workstations where priorities can quickly change, your ability to respond in an efficient, helpful, and empathetic manner is essential.

More specifically, you will: Work efficiently in a fast-paced administrative role with competing priorities where patient focus remains the top priority.
Act as the first point of contact to patients and provide excellent customer service both face to face and over the phone.
Adapt to and manage an environment where there is ongoing change and competing priorities.
Book and confirm patients for appointments and consultations.
Billing and receipting at time of appointment.
Accurately process relevant paperwork including data entry across two clinical platforms.
Continuously liaise and effectively communicate with the multidisciplinary teams across the practice to ensure efficient processes and maintain effective doctor relationships to ensure the clinic runs smoothly.
Ensure the smooth running and preparation of the clinic, including retrieving results, updating Medicare and health fund details, maintaining demographic and referral information.
Clearly communicate funding mechanisms, out of pocket fees and other account related enquires in a compassionate manner to patients.
