With our incredibly strong project pipeline of truly transformational energy and transport projects we are seeking an Environmental Scientist/ Planner or a Senior Environmental Scientist/ Planner to join our Sydney Environmental Impact Assessment team.
We are a passionate team of environmental impact assessors working within an organisation creating meaningful change both in Australia and around the globe. Our team is made up of twenty-four environmental impact assessors, including eight industry leading directors who have led major project EISs across all sectors. Our directors grow and develop our team members through identifying opportunities to step up, providing advice and feedback during project delivery, providing mentoring and through formal training sessions.
Our team in Sydney is connected to our colleagues across Australia and New Zealand, and globally across the world, which allows our team members to take up opportunities to work on exciting projects in a variety of regions on both a short term and long-term basis.

About the role
This position will provide experience and a greater level of responsibility working on a diverse array of high profile, major infrastructure assessment projects across a range of sectors, including energy, transport (road/rail/ports/air), water utilities and Defence sectors. You will be working in a genuinely flexible environment, amongst a team of peers and alongside our clients, while learning from our in-house senior advisors and technical leaders on projects and in formal training sessions.
You will develop your skills by working collaboratively to prepare advice, reports, and proposals to clients, and develop effective relationships with our clients, in-house design teams and technical specialists to ensure projects are delivered successfully. You will also be responsible for key project related tasks as required, which may include studies and assessments, data analysis, technical writing, and presentations.
Minimum Requirements
We are looking for an experienced environmental candidate who can prepare and step up to manage timely and high-quality environmental impact assessments, constraints analyses, strategic assessments and environmental management plans and assist in the organisation of resources, budgets, and timelines for the management of these projects.
Preferred Qualifications
We require candidates to hold a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in an appropriate discipline such as environmental science, environmental planning, town planning and/or environmental engineering.
