Fisheries Management Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Fisheries Management Specialist to assist in the identification of impacts from development proposals on freshwater and marine fisheries resources.
The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to identify and negotiate lesser impact options for development proposals, preparing reports, letters, comments, and delivering formal and informal talks or presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in identifying impacts from development proposals on freshwater and marine fisheries resources
* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and negotiate lesser impact options for development proposals
* Prepare reports, letters, comments, and deliver formal and informal talks or presentations
* Conduct pre-work development proposal site inspections and monitor impact of completed authorised developments
* Review and prepare comments on planning instruments related to fish habitats and fisheries resources
