A well-known Australian enterprise is delivering a major cloud modernisation program and is looking for a hands‐on Senior .NET Engineer to support a business‐critical platform migration.
This is a delivery‐focused role working directly on a legacy web application being migrated from on‐prem IIS to Azure App Services.
The Project
You will help migrate and modernise a core platform while improving reliability, scalability and security. The work includes:
* Migrating a production system from on‐prem to Azure App Services
* Modernising CI/CD pipelines, observability and security practices
* Maintaining full functional parity while improving platform performance
* Supporting identity and authentication integration work
Technology Environment
* .NET Framework 4.8, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework
* jQuery (upgrade involved, no modern JS frameworks required)
* GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines
* Okta integration planned
Note: This is a server‐side focused MVC application. There is no dedicated modern frontend framework involved.
What We Are Looking For
* Senior hands‐on .NET engineer with strong Azure experience
* Proven experience migrating legacy applications to cloud platforms
* Comfortable owning outcomes in lean project teams
* Strong communicator who can work closely with engineers and stakeholders
* Delivery‐focused, pragmatic and security‐aware
* Start date: February (2 to 3 weeks)
* Contract length: Project‐based with potential extension depending on future work
