The Role of a Children's Sales Manager is to develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies in core children's sales avenues such as schools, libraries and specialised trade channels. The aim is to increase sales revenue and market penetration into these specialized channels.
Responsibilities
* Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders in the education, library and trade sectors to understand their customers and maximise sales opportunities.
* Collaborate with colleagues in marketing and sales to create and deliver dynamic and targeted campaigns.
* Manage an existing portfolio of accounts including clubs and fairs, library suppliers, educational suppliers, specialist children's bookshops and head office accounts.
* Identify new channel opportunities and build a network of contacts by attending education, library and bookseller related events and conferences.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for children's books and experience in publishing sales, in library or education channels.
* Confidence delivering sales results to long-term deadlines.
* Negotiation skills.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to present compelling sales pitches to both individual clients and larger audiences.
* Strong numeracy and commercial acumen.
Benefits
This is a full-time permanent role, currently operating a hybrid working arrangement, with attendance in the Melbourne office frequently with other members of the children's team, and some occasional interstate travel involved.
