We are seeking a skilled Full-Time Accounts / Payroll & Service Coordinator to join our team. This role will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting, payroll, and service support to ensure the smooth running of our office operations.
Reporting directly to the Director, this position plays a key role in supporting both accounting and administrative functions. If you're organised, customer-focused, and thrive in a dynamic environment, this could be your next career move.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payments, and reconciliations
* Manage all aspects of Payroll for Sydney and Auckland offices for approximately 20 staff
* Assist in maintaining accurate financial records
* Generate customer statements and manage debt collection
* Get approval and submit sales invoices through customer portals
* Handle customer inquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner
* Communicate with suppliers and customers to resolve account-related queries
* Maintain accurate records for accountants and assist with BAS submissions
* Perform general operational and administrative tasks as needed
* Provide administrative and service support to the operations team
* Preparing cashflow reports
* Monthly motor vehicle expenditures
* Assist our service coordinator with allocating jobs for service staff
* Tracking and invoicing service jobs
* Ad-hoc Administration duties to assist fellow team members
Skills & Experience
* 5+ years' experience in an accounts payable/receivable function in a similar-sized
* A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred but not essential
* Expert knowledge of XERO and Reckon Hosted
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite products
* Experience with CRM software is desirable
* Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
* A can-do attitude
* Able to work from the office 5 days a week
* Great communication skills / professional phone manner
* Comprehensive email literacy
* Excellent qualities in troubleshooting
