We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Accounts Receivable Officer to join our friendly and supportive Accounts team at our Ballarat Head Office.
About the ROLE
Working in a finance team of 10 and reporting to the Finance Manager, the main responsibilities will include:
1. Daily allocating/receipting of payments
2. Daily Bank statement reconciliations
3. Verify and post receipts plus resolve any discrepancies with customers and our branches
4. Set up new customers on the ERP system including obtaining trade references
5. Handle telephone account queries and provide high level of customer service
6. Process adjustments and rebates on customer accounts as required
7. Assist with other duties within the Finance team as required
8. Build positive working relationships internally and with customers
9. Assist with ad-hoc duties as required

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:06pm (38 hours) with 30 minutes lunch break.
About YOU
Ideally, you will have at least 2 years' experience in AR and a good attitude and passion for accounts.
Preferred skills and experience include:
* End-to-end Accounts Receivable experience is essential, along with experience in reconciliations and end of month activities
* Comfortable and capable of working within a high-volume transactional environment
* Ability to manage multiple tasks with a high-level attention to detail and accuracy
* Demonstrated ability to confidently work in a team environment
* Professional and courteous phone manner; strong customer service mindset
* Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting/ERP software
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
* Analytical skills
* Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
