WHS Officer - Southern Highlands
Your new company
Your new company is a public services organisation based in the Southern Highlands, looking for an experienced Work Health & Safety Officer to join their team on an initial contract of 3 months with a view.
Your new role
In your new role you will be responsible for:
* Assist with the development; implementation and ongoing review of WHS related policies and procedures as part of WHS Management System ensuring policies and procedures comply with all legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements.
* eFacilitate the development, implementation and review of Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) documentation (SWMS, HIRACs and SOPs) for the organisation in consultation with key stakeholders ensuring all documentation is developed in-line with legislative and regulatory requirements.
* Coordinate and/or undertake the investigation process for WHS related incidents in-line with the Incident Investigation Procedure and provide appropriate reports to management and the Health and Safety Committee.
* Assist with the development, implementation and review of WHS related programs initiated throughout.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will ideally:
* Certificate IV in WHS and/or relevant experience in a WHS field
* Hold a valid driving licence and be willing and able to travel
* Be available to start asap
